A secure password is needed for many of today's Internet web sites.  Whether it be an onine email account, mangaing your banking online, or for social networking sites, a secure password helps protect your online identity.

Many web sites limit their passwords from 8-12 characters, and you must often use at least one CAPITAL leter and a sybmol, such as the dollar sign $.

The longer your password, the more secure it is. A good suggestion is to pick a phrase you'll remember, then select the first letter of each word in that phrase, capitalize one or two of them, add a symbol and a number. This method insures you'll have a password that's easy to remember.

For example, if you wanted to set a 12 character password, you could set it like this:

Phrase:  I need a good password that I can remember easily.
Password would equal: InagptIcre9$

If your need a longer password, for a wirless network for example, there are password generators available online which will generate a password any number characters based on the settings you choose.
